The City Fashion Flash - A Discovery In Every Direction
One of the things we love most about the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival – Brisbane is how it throws the spotlight on this wonderful city and caters for all budget types. Not only can fashionistas get tickets to all the shows at South Bank but you can get your fashion fix for free with a daily fashion flash in Queen Street Mall during the entire Festival Week.
So what exactly is a fashion flash? Get ready to be surprised because these will not be your normal run-of-the-mill parades. Shoppers won’t know where the models have come from, or who they are, and right in amongst their daily shopping in the Queen Street Mall, will appear gorgeous models strutting their
stuff to a live DJ. No less than twelve models will seem to appear from nowhere and converge on Queen Street Mall at 12 noon each day from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th August to showcase the diversity and depth of the fashion available in The City.
Fashion connoisseurs will be inspired by ways to refresh their wardrobe the hottest looks of the season, and the models hair and make-up will be unique and distinctive with each look being highly stylised to represent the five themes:
• From dusk to dawn; take your look from work to play
• From canapés to cocktails; sophisticated style in The City
• From current season to cutting edge; on-trend fashion in The City
• From Friday night to Sunday night; what to wear on the weekend
• From coats to collars; suit up in style
Bursting with post-parade inspiration, fashion enthusiasts can refresh their wardrobe at one of The City’s fashion precincts with international brands on Edward Street, boutique fashion on Elizabeth Street, local designers on Adelaide Street or flagship stores on the Queen Street Mall.
